    I was driving during rush hour at 70mph when my axle shaft abruptly disconnected from the car. It was shaking violently, and i was unable to accelerate. I was only able to coast through three lanes of traffic to get the car off the road. I almost died when the person behind me almost drove through me when the shaft disconnected and the car suddenly slowed without the brake lights going off.

The vehicle was taken to tipotex chevrolet (1600 n. Expressway 77/83, brownsville, tx 78521), but the cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 9,800.
